Police in Chicago are investigating a quadruple homicide after officials said a mother and her three adult daughters were found fatally shot inside a home Sunday.
The domestic-related shooting took place in Tinley Park, a village in Cook County and a suburb of Chicago, Tinley Park Village Manager Pat Carr told USA TODAY Monday morning.
Carr said the suspect in the case dialed 911 about 11:20 a.m. Sunday and reported his wife had been shot.
Arriving officers entered the the home and discovered what Carr called "a horrible find."
The Cook County medical examiner’s office also responded to the scene and pronounced all four victims dead.

The suspect was taken into custody at the scene, Carr said, and on Monday morning was being questioned by police.

'Tight-knit' and 'very family oriented' community
Carr said there had been no domestic-related calls at the home prior to Sunday's shooting.
He described the community as "tight-knit" and "very family oriented" with about 60,000 residents.
More information about the case was expected to be released later in the day, Carr said.
