"What Have We Here?" chronicles Billy Dee Williams' decades-long acting career, from his start in "The Last Angry Man" to his time as Lando Calrissian, the first Black character to appear in "Star Wars." The 86-year-old actor unpacks every stage of his life—growing up in Harlem in 1937, going on to study at the National Academy of Fine Art, and eventually his storied film career.

The memoir also delves into Williams' role alongside James Caan in "Brian's Song," a pivotal time in his career. The title, "What Have We Here?" stems from an iconic line delivered by Lando in "Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back."
