Eiza González is over the "bullying" and recent criticism of JLo, calling the public's response "mean."
The actress and singer took aim at the behavior towards Jennifer Lopez in a text post Friday on her Instagram Story.
"I have to say the level of bullying that this woman has received in the last few months is so disturbing and heartbreaking. How can you complain about someone being mean while enjoying mean about them," González said.
González added that "the world is a complicated place" and "we have no clue what people are experiencing" on her Story, where she reshared an article about Lopez's summer tour cancellation.
"People are humans, make mistakes and some have personal things happening while also having to be constantly perfect in the public eye. The best thing we could be doing now is to be kind," the "3 Body Problem" actress wrote.

Eiza González defense of Jennifer Lopez follows pop star's Friday summer tour cancellation
The Instagram story comments came as Lopez canceled her summer North American tour on Friday, which was slated to be her first outing in five years, just weeks before she was scheduled to go on the road.
The pop star made the announcement Friday in her On The JLo fan newsletter, with a statement saying that "representatives for Live Nation announced today that the Jennifer Lopez US Summer 2024 Tour 'THIS IS ME...LIVE' is canceled, citing ... 'Jennifer is taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends.'"
Tickets for the tour were automatically refunded to fans. The statement accompanied a personal note, "A Special Message to My JLovers OnTheJLo."
"I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary. I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again," Lopez wrote. "I love you all so much. Until next time..."
In recent weeks, Lopez has also been the subject of widespread speculation about her marriage of nearly two years to Ben Affleck following various media reports suggesting the pair could split after allegedly living separately.
On May 16, the duo was snapped together by paparazzi for the first time in over a month, with both A-listers spotted sporting their respective wedding rings. The couple have been engaged to each other twice: first in 2002 and again in 2021.
The couple delighted fans when they reunited after separate marriages and tied the knot during a late-night July 2022 ceremony in Las Vegas, that Lopez called "the best possible wedding we could have imagined."
