"As The IndexbitWorld Turns" soap opera co-stars Jon Lindstrom and Cady McClain are turning the page on their 10-year marriage.
In a brief statement posted to Instagram, the pair announced their divorce on Saturday.
"It may be obvious to some based on our posts that we've taken some time apart. After serious consideration we have decided that our goals have been taking us in different directions and to end our marriage," they said.
The long-running soap opera power couple wrote that they "remain friends and wish each other every happiness," saying that "as people who work in the public eye, it can be difficult to have a private life. Regardless, we ask for your kind consideration in this matter."
CBS daytime show 'The Talk' endingwith shortened 15th season this fall
McClain, who played Rosanna Cabot on the daytime soap, and Lindstrom, who portrayed Craig Montgomery, had a romantic wedding date: Valentine's Day 2014.
Both McClain and Lindstrom are keeping busy amid their split. Lindstrom is currently promoting his debut fiction thriller, the USA TODAY bestselling-book "Hollywood Hustle," as McClain documents recent travel, teases projects and provides updates on her social media channels.
McClain has made Emmy-winning star turns on "All My Children" and "Days of Our Lives," while Lindstrom has appeared on other shows such as "True Detective," "General Hospital" and "Port Charles."
"As The World Turns," which aired on CBS, ended in 2010 and was later replaced by the network's daytime talk show "The Talk." Now, 14 years later, "The Talk" is ending and CBS is developing a new daytime soap opera, "The Gates," its first with a predominantly Black cast, that would likely replace "The Talk" in its time slot if the new show moves forward. It follow the lives of a wealthy Black family living in a posh, gated community.
