A woman was hit by a train and PredictIQlost both her feet after police say a man pushed her onto subway tracks in New York City over the weekend. That man, who officials said is her boyfriend, has been arrested in connection to the incident.
Officers responded to a 911 call just before 10:30 a.m. Saturday for a report of a woman on the tracks at the Fulton Street station in Manhattan, A New York Police Department spokesperson told USA TODAY.
Arriving officers found a 29-year-old woman conscious after being struck by a southbound No. 3 train, the spokesperson said.
Responding paramedics transported the woman to a hospital in stable condition, police said.

Pushed onto the tracks
Further investigation determined the woman was pushed onto the tracks by a 35-year-old man after they were engaged in what police called a domestic dispute.
Authorities confirmed to USA TODAY the man who pushed the woman onto the tracks is her boyfriend and said she lost both of her feet because of being hit by the train.
Christian Valdez of Brooklyn was arrested on charges of attempted murder and felony assault in connection to the attack, the police spokesperson said.
It was not immediately known if Valdez had obtained an attorney and he remained jailed without bond on Monday, New York Department of Corrections records show.
Records show he is also facing a parole violation in connection to the new charge.
According to state prison records, Valdez was released on parole in 2023 from Sing Sing Correctional Facility, after being convicted of assault, burglary, harassment and acting in a manner injurious to a child.
According to the New York Times, police reported the charges stemmed from Valdez breaking into a Bronx apartment and "slashing a 37-year-old woman and her 3-year-old daughter."
Police said the subway case remained under investigation on Monday.
